The formation and evolution of superjag is not unusual as bands go–five members become four, four members become three, and three finally becomes two.
Which leaves you at the crossroads asking an existential question for the two still standing: Do we reach out for new players or do we make the split complete and go our separate ways?
We decided to sit tight, think about it, and fill the void writing music on acoustic guitars and doing experimental GoPro videos. All good fun yet lacking the adrenaline rush of a live band at full-throttle or the aesthetics of that band in a proper recording studio setting.
Then on a fateful New Year’s Day we decided to remain together and give it a go as a duo – to divide and conquer, write to our individual strengths, then meet in the middle and mash it up.
The sonic results are yours to hear on three superjag albums: GET DOWN, Dare to Love, and Harbinger.
These records represent a major departure for us in terms of style, substance, genre, and production – far from our comfort zone.
Being a duo can do that to you. Now we embrace it and the music that is superjag. We hope you will, too.
